I don’t watch the “news” but any glimpse at social media or the internet tells me there are a lot of angry people out there today. And rightfully so. Our election process has turned into a third world country-esque joke and one political party wants to effectively eliminate every semblance of family, freedom and reason from our nation in the name of progress. When “pastors” are supporting abortion, we are in very big trouble. Anyways, I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know.

But here’s a hot take: What an amazing time to be alive.

The world is trying to erase gender and gender roles? Be a woman or a man even harder. Display femininity and masculinity with purpose. Our vote may not seem to count but our lifestyle does. It’s really all we have. Read the Word and ask the holy spirit what it really means to be a man or a woman, and do it UNMISTAKABLY. We each have distinct purposes; are we living them out?

The world hates children and wants to literally end their lives before they begin. So love your children and keep bringing them into the world. Raise your quiver to be arrows of righteousness to launch into a broken world. Raise godly children, speak well of family and refuse to buy into this toxic mommy culture which sees children as a really annoying accessory to your mediocre existence. If you’re going to have children, do it well and according to the bible. Spank them, correct them and see it as your god-given mandate to raise them to love God above all else. Make sure you see them more than their extracurricular activity instructors do. Are you the loudest voice in their life? Do you enjoy being around those you’ve spawned?

The world hates marriage between a man and woman, so make it a point to have an amazing marriage. Make your marriage a goal worth attaining. Love your husband or your wife so well it attracts attention from outsiders. Stay married when it gets hard and obey what the Bible says about how husbands and wives ought to operate around each other. Invest in your spouse and stop complaining about the gift God gave you extremely undeservingly.

The world’s education system is failing us, so we should be wise as serpents and abundantly educated so we are able to educate the next generation. Let’s erase stereotypes associated with home education and assure that any child of ours will be the most well-read, well spoken person in the room, able to discourse and think for themselves. Reclaim education and rethink what a good education looks like? Is your kid going to college really worth going into massive debt? Are they actually skilled and contributing members of society?

The world wants you dependent on cheap food sources, so learn to become sustainable in any way you can. Learn to cook and grow your own food if possible and feed your body well so you will be armed for the days ahead.

This is an amazing time to be alive and I am thrilled to be starting our family in the year of our Lord 2021. Gone are the days of cultural christianity and just going to church. You’re lucky these days if your church has the cajones to even be gathering. Our facebook posts and instagram stories are not our platforms. Our lives are. Our choices matter. Let’s return to the ancient, less popular paths and see a revival come about like never before. It won’t come from a big church service. It will come from the family, the original revival center.
